Alpam is Found in the hilly areas of the Western Ghats. Up to three meters in height. Used against venoms including snake venom. Chewing the unripe fruit is good for stomach ache. Chakranine, an alkaloid contained in the root, is poisonous if mixed with the blood, but is safe if taken by mouth.
